The latest issue of CoroCoro contains art of Xerneas and Yveltal, as well as some basic details. Xerneas has a height of 3.0 m tall and weighs 215 kg, while Yveltal is 5.8 m tall and weighs 203.0 kg.

It was additionally confirmed that Xerneas will appear in Pokémon X, and Yveltal in Pokémon Y, as had been suspected since their initial reveal in the Pokémon Direct trailer. The official katakana renderings of their names were given for the first time: Xerneas is ゼルネアス, and Yveltal is イベルタル.

So here’s the Japanese logos.. anyone else noticed the little rainbow thing?

Looks a bit like a Double Helix to me, so maybe X and Y are to do with DNA afterall.

Infact, maybe there will be more Pokémon fusion, using the fusion mechanic introduced by BW2 and Kyurem! Exciting and interesting. I also wonder if DeoXYs will have any relation. Maybe an RSE Remake later with more Deoxys focus?

Fun fact to add to the bandwagon of speculations: Each generation has a theme and the first gen had to do with genes and dna too (mew, mewtoo, ditto, eevee etc), so I wonder why they decided to go back.

Like, not saying it’s bad or looking at it in a pejorative way, I’m actually very interested because I loved the genetic thematic of the first game, so I’m curious about what they’ll do with X and Y and how (or even if) it ties back to the first gen.
